Park Avenue Penthouse

Manhattan

Description

This 2,500 square foot penthouse residence with a 1,200 square foot wraparound terrace required a complete renovation and structural repairs. Work included reconfiguration of the floor plan, new steel windows selected for their thin profile to expose the panoramic city views, a new eat-in kitchen, separate dining room, entry gallery, renovated bathrooms, media room and home office, and custom lighting throughout. The terrace was rebuilt including repairs to the brick parapet and the exterior brick walls of the penthouse itself.  A custom-designed handrail was installed on the parapet cap and both copper and teak were introduced by the Landscape Architect in the planters and screens.  Design services included assistance with the selection of all furniture and furnishings, color palette and custom built-ins for sculpture and glass art display. This is the second project completed for this client (see Upper East Side Townhouse).
